My blog is usually written in German, but I write this blog entry in English because it is personal to you.

I don’t know if you’ll ever read it because I can’t contact you directly. The reason for my message to you is: I love the Jewish people because it is explicitly God’s chosen people. And you are part of this people. I would like to draw your attention to a hope that goes beyond everything you need to go through at the moment. That’s why I confess: For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed – a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Paul wrote this in Rom. 1:16,17 NIV and he also referred to Habakkuk 2:4 and 5, where it is said: See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright – but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness – indeed, wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at rest. Because he is as greedy as the grave and like death is never satisfied, he gathers to himself all the nations and takes captive all the people (…)

But Napoleon’s mother once said when people admired his warfare: “You have not seen the end yet.”

Dear Mr. President Selenskyj, I pray for you. God bless you!
